Sentrin External Timber Preservation

Sentrin Preserve HP: Durable,
Long-Term Protection for
Outdoor Wood

high-pressure preservative treatment

Sentrin Preserve HP is our high-pressure preservative treatment specifically designed for external timber applications. It delivers deep, long-lasting protection against fungal decay and insect attack—making it ideal for fencing, decking, landscaping, and structural components, whether in or out of ground contact.

WHY TREAT EXTERNAL TIMBER

Untreated timber exposed to the elements can fail within five years. Our treatment process extends service life dramatically - up to 15 years for ground contact timber and over 60 years for protected structural components -saving you time, replacement costs, and environmental impact.

THE PROCESS

Treatment Process

Our high-pressure process infuses preservative deep into the timber:

  • Vacuum Phase: Air is removed from the timber.

  • Flooding: The vessel is filled with preservative solution.

  • Pressure Phase: Pressure forces preservative deep into the wood cells.

  • Final Vacuum: Removes excess solution; preservative is recycled.

  • Drying: Timber is held under cover until ready for dispatch.

No waste is generated from the process preservatives are reused, and the method meets EU environmental standards.

Handling and Aftercare

HANDLING AND AFTERCARE

  • Reworking treated timber? Always apply end-seal preservative to cut or drilled surfaces.

  • Storing timber? Keep it ventilated and unwrapped to avoid moisture buildup.

  • Painting or staining? Ensure timber is dry before applying coatings—test first, as the green colour may influence final finish.

  • Fixings: Avoid aluminium hardware; most common fasteners are suitable.
